I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
